BIG FOOT IS HERE

MY BIKE
Today my class and I had big foot coming over to teach us bike safety because they were preparing us when we go on the road on the left hand top corner you can see my bike yeah its so cool right! oh yeah Megan and Courtney taught us what we needed to wear and what was the dos and don'ts you have to have a bright colour shirt or some bright on so the person in the car can see you from 200 metres away you should not zigzag on the road or keep moving back and forwards or you might bump into something they taught us the 4 point check there was 2 laws in the 4 point check one of them was you have to have a red reflective light at the back of your bike you can not change any of the reflective lights second law was the quick release lever if you have it loose your wheel will fall off it always have to be tight the other 2 was your break handles have to be working and your tires can't be flat, if you don't wear a helmet when your riding your bike this is going to change your mind if you don't wear a helmet and you fall on the concrete your head will split open like a egg, if you drop a egg on the concrete you know what will happen like a egg the egg yolk will mix together and you can't put it back together the same as your head your brain will mix together with the blood and you can't fix your brain it might take even 6 or 7 years to fix it chances are you might not even get to survived before it gets fixed at the bottom it has a picture this picture will show what you need to do when you have your helmet on.

Today in math we got to choose what we would like to start with but it was all in a NZCM book. I chose geometry, in geometry there's a little bit of math then you could make your own paper box here is a video.

CALENDAR ART

This week my class and I were working on our calendar art we had to choose 3 art designs a tapa design hand art, last design was line art but I chose tapa art we work on it all week but it was worth it at the end this is how it turned out hope you enjoy.

FILM FEST

In term 3 we made our very own film, Our film was about showing people and kids to not go into places that you do not know. The genres were HORROR!!! ACTION!!! AND COMEDY!!! HA HA HA... "okay not funny anymore" anyways my group that we had to work with was called the... BRAVE BANANAS, Okay carrying on We enjoyed working together and learning with other thank you for listening please enjoy our film. : )

In math today we had to do a challenge it was to make a cube in 2 ways but I made it in 3 ways here are my examples.

SIGN LANGUAGE

At school our inquiry are 3 official languages of NZ Te-reo Maori, English, Sign Language, but I picked sign language and here are the alphabet in sign language hope you enjoy!

LIFE OF AN ANZAC SOLDIER

Today i'm posting a blog about ANZAC because There's a parade that is held outside the Auckland Museum once a year. I have three interesting facts what I like about the Anzac soldiers

• Originally, the term 'ANZAC' was used to mean any soldier who was a member of the army corps that fought at Gallipoli. 
• A soldier named Alec Campbell was the last surviving ANZAC.
• Every year, on the 25th of April, Australians are given the opportunity to pause, reflect and remember the incredibly brave ANZAC soldiers who lost their lives, or who were wounded, at Gallipoli.

The parade that is held outside the museum happens at Oct 12, "why is it held?" you ask? because we will always remember who has sacrifice themselves for NZ and other countries we shall remember that day for ever!!! that's it for me have a good day.

Hey guys I'm going to take you on a Briny deep ride you are going to enjoy the amazing facts about my favorite sea creature. My favorite sea creature is the... drum roll please the...SAND TIGER SHARK!!!

sand tiger sharks are endangered in the wild the sand tiger shark looks big and scary and it looks like it can crunch anything in the way but actually the sharp teeth are for holding onto slippery prey these amazing sharks can grow up to 3.1 metres long "WOW" right. These shark's diet are mullet and squids, these sharks can be found in most warm seas throughout the world except for the eastern Pacific. This includes tropical and temperate parts of the North and South Atlantic, Indian, and western Pacific Oceans. Recorded from all parts of Australia, except Tasmania and rare in the Northern Territory.

Today me and my class had a class split it was cool I went to room 11 which it the year 7's and 8's of our school, this is their class, we did not much fun but I still had fun doing my work on my chrome book the picture looks like I went alone but there were 3 other girls but they went kapa haka but I had fun.

THE MYSTERY OF THE HAUNTED SCHOOL

Today me and my group which is the Brave Banana's we are making a film for our movie our title is called THE MYSTERY OF THE HAUNTED SCHOOL. The genre is Horror and Comedy it's a story about two students that walks into haunted school then the door slams there was a storm so the y had to go into a class then the ceiling shook they heard moaning "Woooooooo" They got scared then one of them said ninja warrior 3 times a ninja pop out of nowhere or he just jump out of a tree LOL!!! then he jumped on the ghost and slammed her on the ground "girl basher" then the other student turned on the radio the song was KUNG FU FIGHTING!!! then the got controlled by the music they ghost did the WHIP! pow it hit the ninja the ninja did the nae nae! kapoosh it hit the ghost. The ninja was more faster so he then did the AMAZING AWESOME DAB!!!!!!!!!! it turned the ghost back into a human and they all dance out the door the end comment and subscribe jokes I mean comment only for more!!!!!.

HOW TO CHANGE BORING WORDS

Today we were changing boring sentences to a terrific and amazing sentence with word hippo.

BUDDY CLASS RM 3

In buddy class in room 3 we are making a land form with paper and cardboard 4 of the land forms are mountain, valleys, hills, and plains.

THE TRIAGRAPH DGE

For phonics today we focused on the sound of the triagraph dge. We learnt that the rule for the dge are the vowels come before the dge. This is what makes the sound. Here are some example.

For phonics today we focused on the sound of the soft c. We learnt that the rule for the soft c are the vowel E I and the letter Y after the letter C. This is what makes the sound a soft c. Here are some examples.

Day 8: In Winter Learning Journey I was still carrying on from (one step a time) I reached up to Mount Everest which Sir Edmund Hillary climbed up. It says to choose a famous person that is born in NZ. I chose Peter Jackson you have to write when and where was He/she born and 2 facts about them.

Day 7: On Winter Learning Journey I chose (one step at a time)it's about your going to Christchurch but you take a rest at LEWIS PASS SCENIC RESERVE and you are out in the forest and you see a cool looking tree you go to it. You look back but your team is not there anymore then you have to write what do we think happens next.

Day 6: It's not good to treat anything like they don't need to exist, treat everybody like what you want to be treated.

Day 5: Whales are always washing up to shore but we still have to save them like we have to help other people we do this because it is the right thing to do? right.

Day 4: In Winter Learning Journey I chose the the wild eyes it is about NZ's native animals and you have to pick out of the eleven creatures kiwi, pekapeka bat, hectors dolphin, kea, Hamilton's frog, yellow eyed penguin, chevron skink lizard, little blue penguin, fur seal, and last but not least the Maui dolphin.

Day 1: A lady who was called Rachel Williams came into our class this morning and was talking about a site called the winter learning journey. There are lots of subjects that you can choose from, and try do the instruction on the subject you chose. then you can blog about this and you will get points if your doing this and at the end of this they will present the winner at the hall and give out a prize you have to be in it to win it enjoy!

F.I.R.E Meaning

At Glen Taylor School F.I.R.E mean’s our 4 values, F for Fun, I for Integrity, R for Respect, E for Excellence. Number 1  is Fun, Fun is to include others in a game if they are lonely and having fun with each other. Number 2 is Integrity, Integrity is doing the right thing when nobody's looking. Number 3 is Respect, Respect is by helping people and folding your arms and legs and listening to the speaker. Last but not least Number 4 is EXCELLENCES!!!
